During the course of the year, we are looking to make learning a little more hands on, fun, and memorable. Today we started by extending the learning of the letter 's' and making it a little more tactile for those more sensory oriented/kinesthetic learners. Children learn best by doing, so what better way to learn and practice the letter 's' in ways they can relate to? By taking what they love to do and turning it into learning, we can make the information stick and easier for them to remember! Each week we will continue to learn new letters and investigate a variety of literacy centers to learn new letters and their sounds (verses just the typical pencil to paper method).
